Hi To All

And a Very Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone whereever you have it.

Now for some you may want to check your local groups/clubhouses; many hold all day Alkathons with Food and Followship--and usually have meetings going on hourly.

You do not have to spend the whole day unless you want to, some people just need to get away from all of the noise of the big family get togethers.

Some to just watch the Game with others, play cards, sing, listen to a band (yes some have local groups that come in and play for such events), and most have plenty of food--a lot donated or bring a dish of your favorite to share with others.

Most will even provide a ride if you really need one to get there.

I have been to a few and had a real good time.  Even did some 12 Step work--a family brought in a teenager who was really off the deep end,  I and another took the teen and talked with her for a couple of hours while others talked to the other family members that had brouhgt her in.  Last I knew she now has 5 good years in the program and doing well in school finally.
