So its been a bit, but heres an update.  Connie went through the double mastectomy like an experienced combat solider.  Outside of me dropping the ball briefly, that phase went smoothly.  Today, in her 7th day after chemo, is again, showing her mettle.  Your prayers paid off extremely well and we are SO THANKFUL!
We are told that the reaction to chemo is pretty much determined by your first session.  Her first session was just minor bone pain and a little queasiness that was offset by anti nausea meds.  Hopefully she gets 2 weeks of good health until chemo 2 of 6.
I think I am approaching a month since my slip and I am feeling like I am firmly back on the wagon.  Sorry I have not been too active on the board but you can imagine its pretty fast paced here with the kids and the cancer battle.
Tom
