Hey angel, don't do that. What I've found is that my sensitivity to any medication have gone way up. I can take a couple of advil and it makes me sleepy. Nyquil makes non alcoholic capsules, for day and evening in one package. Their mild and work pretty good for me. Have you ever tried a "netty pot" to clear your sinuses?

Blech. I used to down bottles of nyquil when sick... It made it worse of course. While getting colds sucks, they go away about 2 or 3 days faster now that I am sober. Hope you feel better soon Angela!

My mom gave me one of those pots a few years ago.  It scares me so I haven't used it.  People swear by it.  The congestion is mostly down in my chest today.  I used one dose of night time syrup (alcohol-free of course) on the worst night and since some plain cough syrup.   Smoking doesn't help, the chest coughing bothers me some.  Oh yeah, tons of herbal tea, zinc, echinachea, elderberry, C, and hand-made chicken soup.

Thanks for the kind wishes, back to work today.

colds suck. Me too, Angel. When I get sick I eat, drink & sleep through the worst of it. I will say that in sobriety I get sick a lot less than I did before.
However, I still have three kids/hosts that go to three different schools/petri dishes and bring home three different samplings of micro-organisms/nose pets.

Peace,
Rob

Hope you start feeling better, it's great that you have not been sick for a long time.

I alway take the product Air-Borne at the first sign of a cold or flu. It's a tablet you drop in water and drink 2-3 times a day, has a lot of vitamins to support you immune system, and it also helps you feel better.

I helps me recover a lot quicker and it seems to reduce the symptoms.

Yeah too bad I found the airbourne today on day seven of snot at the back of my medicine cubby.

I've been taking coQ10 for the last two years(no colds) and ran out last month.  I'm broke and it's expensive, wondering if that actually helps with immunity.

Aqua-I was thinking of you when I started this post-I said to myself whaa, whatta whiner you are, Auquaman gets sick way more cause of all those kiddies and still has to be superdad.

It's been weird to miss my regular meetings.  I see how plugged in I am and that's great.  Got to go to a different one yesterday, that was cool too.  Back on schedule as of tomorrow hopefully.

Everyone has been so pratical with suggestions, just like my view of the BB.  Filled with practical effective suggestions.  Nasal irrigation, one day at a time here I come.

I'm flattered...but I'm no superdad. The 6 month old baby is a trooper. She can be leaking fluid from every hole in her face, have an ear infection and lung congestion and STILL SMILE and LAUGH!!

Nothing at all like me. I get under the weather and I'm a grump wrapped in a jerk dipped in miserable.

Peace,
Rob
