Hello, and welcome !!

I would suggest finding Alcoholics Anonymous in your area and go to a few meetings, listen and see if you feel like you are a part of the group ... by identifying, not comparing.

Get our text book called Alcoholics Anonymous and read it, at least the first 164 pages, read it more than once.

And remember, if you dont pick up that first drink, you wont get drunk  :)

Congrats -- welcome! Get to some meetings in your area, get some phone numbers of sober women there, read the Big Book.

And keep coming back.

Aloha Angel...can't nor would I try to offer you anything other than was first given to
me when I arrived.  Go to the meeting, sit down, listen, learn and practice, practice
practice.  Get the literature...Big Book, As Bill Sees it, Steps and Traditions, Grapevine,
whatever is put in front of you and read it all.  Then Keep coming back.  ((((hugs)))) smile

First off welcome. if you are one of us, you might want to use these suggestions. #1 dont take the first drink. #2 go to meetings. #3 get a temporary sponser. #4 call your sponser. #5 live the 12 steps. and finally, these sound like suggestions, but for me they are directions if I want to stay sober this day.Hope you find the road to happy destiny. Jim

Hi Angel, welcome to the board. Go to a lot of meetings, makes some friends there, ask for God's help and hang on. Lots of sober women in here that can help you.  I attend the "south bay alano club" in Hermosa beach whenever I'm out there visiting my childhood friend.  Great group, lots of folks in your biz there, they've always made me feel right at home.
