Its 12.30am in the uk and I`m asking for help. John Barleycorn is such a devious little bastard there`s so many different ways he can hook you. Like walking down the street past people drinking and having a good time ; like going into pubs on the pretext of using their toilets ; like remembering the songs you listened to as you were getting drunk - Tom Waits, the Doors , Leonard Cohen, Janis Joplin. SSince writing this down I feel relieved and I know what to do. Go to bed and read the blue book.

Thank you comrades

PS if anyone is reading this I really enjoyed the music and hope to enjoy it again in the future

Valium? Solid alcohol .. as described in the story Doctor, Alcoholic, Addict in the book 3rd edition.

I had a tuff time listening to the songs that I listened to so much when I was drinking when I was trying to get sober. ( the songs didnt trigger me to drink ) they did make me think of past times.
I simply avoided music for a period of time and it wasn't hard to do. Just turn off the radio.

Today I can listen and enjoy if I choose to.
