A song for how I'm feeling one week into sobriety

I'm a huge music nerd, so I hope you like it and take something positive from it, can't think of a more positive song right now!  Music helps soothe the savage beast!

Thank YOU, HP for giving me the strength to be where I am and to go where I'm headed, one day at a time.

MUAH All!
Amy

Thanks, StPeteDean, I was too tired to figure out how to embed it for some reason last night. I wasn't sure if it was allowed. :)

Listen to "Wasted" by Carrie Underwood. That one is a good sobriety motivator.

Here You go Amy, this is how I feel a few more 24 hours away from a drink then a week, I listen to this song over and over

No Drama, no big highs or low lows, just a steady "getting better" with a better understanding of myself every year, and HP putting the same lessons in my life over and over until I finally "get it right", in the last few weeks (OK, This whole year) there have a few HUGE ones for me, like life long hurdles I got to replay and this time I got to be someone different in each case, not the victim, not the volunteer, not the one with the grudge, not the one acting out, just growth

"More will be revealed"

Have no fear
For when I'm alone
I'll be better off than I was before

I've got this light
I'll be around to grow
Who I was before
I cannot recall

Long nights allow me to feel...
I'm falling...I am falling
The lights go out
Let me feel
I'm falling
I am falling safely to the ground
Ah...

I'll take this soul that's inside me now
Like a brand new friend
I'll forever know

I've got this light
And the will to show
I will always be better than before

Long nights allow me to feel...
I'm falling...I am falling
The lights go out
Let me feel
I'm falling
I am falling safely to the ground

For me "Faith" and "Sobriety" mean jumping off the cliff and asking for help half way down, when I have been open to that My HP has never dropped me, however, when I say "I got this" and attempt to climb down the cliff under my own power I have never failed to fall and hurt myself

It's all about learning to get out of my own way, I'm my own worst enema
