Found an AA Ring.....

While helping my mother pack, we came across a ring that we believe to be my grandfathers.  He wasn't an alcoholic, but she said the ring was given to him for going with my grandmother to all her meetings and setting up the meetings (chairs, coffee, donuts, etc).   I've tried to find more info on the ring, but can't seem to find anything.  It has the letters GAA - The G is on top and the AA is underneath.  They are in the shape of a pyramid with a small diamond in the middle.  I've attached a pic.  Is this an AA ring?  If so, what does the G stand for?   Any help would be appreciated.    Thank you

So how old do you think it is?  Looks like it could be AA-but I personally don't know.  The G- that makes me think it could be something else.  The story with the ring makes me think yes-AA related.

If anybody would know without a doubt it would be Dick B.

He is very knowledgeable about AA History... it might not hurt to ask him and send him a photo...

Here is a LINK to his website.
