So what changed. After the previous post, I gave myself a stiff talking to, listed on paper what I have to be grateful for and called my Mum. It's her birthday on Sunday (85) so we had a good talk about her health (it's good),what she's gonna do today (Go for lunch with other brother)and how my big brother is (He's got emphysema and currently has a chest infection).
then I called my mate Wol, who's wife died about 5 years ago - he's OK but worried about his Mum (92) but we got into a talk about career changes late in life. Wol used to be in industry but now is a teacher and has been for so long that I forgot we used to work together.
When I said OK, what's your dream job then, he just said, 'this one'. Wow. Then he said 'really, all things considered, I'm probably the luckiest man alive.'
Sort of puts my mardy lip into perspective.

Hey Bill, Glad to see the "perspective swap" cure went into effect. I just spent 2 nights in a hospital with the wifey and we both came out feeling lucky and that our list of positives outweighs our negatives.
