Love Children! Have 2 grown sons I have 8 siblings. Sure wish I lived nearby....Would be happy to babysit so you could be sure to make your meetings. I just went to my first meeting. Used to be involved with AA....Quit going to meeting and my life became a living hell.
There are some special people here you are about to meet.

Welcome to the board. We are so glad you joined us. I know the babysitting thing is a hard one...you and your husband may have to take turns for awhile so you each can get you meetings...alot of us women in AA took turns keeping the kids for each other so we could go, or you could start a little unofficial meeting at your house, lots of options to consider.
Anyway, this board has a great group of people, all staying sober one day at a time.
everyday we don't drink is a miracle, you are a miracle.
Personally i could never have stayed clean and sober with only 1 meeting a week, seems the more i learn the less i know. And anything i put before recovery i will lose. Recovery...sobriety must come first.
Cheri gave some good suggestions.
Do you have a Big Book?
Do you have a phone list of members from your meetings?
Welcome Brook, Glad you have found MIP. I think it is so awesome when sober people find each other in the program, I'm refering to you and your husband. I know many couples in the program, some both in AA, one in Al-anon, the other in AA. Their marriages just seem so much stronger, healthier, that is if they are both working their program, and not the others.
Congratulations on almost 6 years of sobriety. Please post often, and share you experience. strength and hope with us.
