Daily Readings on this board
Permalink

I just want to extend a quiet heartfelt "thank you" to those MIP members that take the time out of their day to post the daily readings.  Whether its from "Daily Reflections, 24 hours a Day, or As Bill See's It, I absolutely love being able to peek in here in the morning and read the daily mediations.  I really think its way cool when I can read all 3 of them for the day right here!  What a great way to start the day.

From pretty much the time my eyes open in the morning, until they close at night, I am crammed with a thousand things related to work.  Posting on Craigslist (trying to drum up some pressure washing and painting work), checking email (to answer questions related to the MIP site, or the MIP houses) answering the telephone (to help a current MIP resident with something or do an intake interview, or talk to a newcomer that has asked me to sponsor them), Look at all the message boards on the MIP site (to make sure things are going smoothly and any real issues are being addressed in a timely manner), check my bill due dates and amounts ...Electric, Cable, Water, Phones, ect, etc..(so I don't forget or miss paying something on any of the MIP houses or with my own bills). And while I'm doing this, I'm greeting my wife with love each morning (because she needs to know she isn't blending in with the wallpaper in my world), Watching a bit of news and weather, (so I can be informed and feel like I actually am a part of a world outside my own little domain)  All of this is how my day starts with my first cup of coffee and cigarette.

FlyingSquarel and Sobreityspell, as well as those who have done so in the past and will do so in the future, I send you a ton of warm cuddo's, high fives and hugh hugs for helping make this board a solid place of AA recovery each day.

Please don't think its not being noticed when you take the time to post the readings, I really do read them and value your efforts to bring a strong AA environment to this board.

Sincerely,
John F.
