August 7       We in our turn, sought the same escape with all the desperation of drowning men. What seemed at first a flimsy reed, has proved to be the loving and powerful hand of God. A new life has been given us or, if you prefer, "a design for living" that really works.


I try each day to raise my heart and hands in thanks to God for showing me a "design for living" that really works through our beautiful Fellowship. But what, exactly, is this " design for living' that "really works"? For me,it is the practice of the Twelve  Steps  to the best of ability, the continued awareness of a God who loves  uunconditionally, and the hope that, in each new day, there is a purpose for my being, I am truly, blessed in the Fellowship. p.228    Daily Reflections

I have often heard Recovering Folks state, By the Grace of God and the Fellowship Of A.A. I have my life back. My  reply to this can only be, By the Grace of God and The People of A.A. Today I have a life! I started drinking at the age of 15 and I never developed a clean Rational way to Live. Gods Design for Living through the Twelve Steps  has given me an Outlook on life like I never dreamed possible. Today my Heart is full of Love and Gratitude, and at times swells to the point of Bursting.


Yes I'm Grateful, and I Try to express my Gratitude to God and to people I come into contact with on a daily basis.
