Any photograph will show us a moment frozen in time. Forever after, anyone who views that picture will see that moment as it was.
Many things in our lives have cycles. Nothing every stays the same from one minute to the next. We may not like change in our relationships, for we may expect that any variation from our happy moments will mean pain or loss or rejection. Even in a relationship's dark moments of anger and pain, we may fear changes that can bring happiness, hope and success.
Yet, change is a valid measurement of growth and time. It has as natural a rhythm as the ebb and flow of the ocean, the change of the seasons, the waxing and waning of the mmon, the rise and set of the sun. Tonight, we can be assured that our relationships are right where they need to be in their natural places.
Tonight, help me experience the natural rhythms in my relationships without fear.
Thanks Wren! our family and also myself are experiencing immense amounts of rapid change coming in our lives.(I am thinking of leaving a job of 32 years,moving south,we have our house for sale after 23 years(closing this week),moving to rent for awhile,thinking of early Social Security,My older children 45/and 44 in Texas are getting back involved in our lives and changes with my 20 year olds are keeping us popping!)We will continue to 'share in the joy ,happiness and trust in our Higher Power,amongst all these changes!We pray daily to choose these emotions,some days easier than others!The growth ,gratitude and blessings of being given an opportunity ,by the grace and mercy of our Higher Power,to share our changes is a miracle in itself.For 25 years of severe addiction ,never realizing an opportunity for change or never thinking I was going to make it out of the next stupor,car accident,divorce,arrest etc. I can face the changes,knowing that the same Higher Power who brought me out of yesterdays devastation,who gives me todays opportunities,will also be there for the change!The hope shot is there everyday,,if it includes change,we will not fear it!Thanks for spiritual writing,they help me continue to seek and improve my relationship with the God of my understanding....,peace
