Dear Lord, I have forgotten your grace that you have given me, when in my depths of depression and alcoholism you had shown me mercy and kindness, by sending someone from AA to lift me up from my own gutter. You cleaned me up and gave me a brand new life. In return I have blamed you for all my woes, which my ego and selfishness had created. I cannot comprehend your love, but I want to say that I am thankful that you are who you are. You have written off a gigantic debt of mine, but I am not willing to forgive my very own brother for a minor infringement. No wonder you are not speaking to me. Well here I am again and I have relinquished my stupid ego and selfcentredness. I offer myself to you to do whatever it is that you want. Remove this bondage of ego and remove my difficulties so that I may serve you better. Your prodigal son, Gonee. PS: Will you have a chat to my brother also. What? No. OK.
Sometimes it is difficult to remember grattitude when all is going well.
Larry, ------------------ "Gratitude unlocks the fulness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."

Gosh, I just had a very long day, and came here to catch up on the day's posts. Everything is so lifting today! This is when I can really feel my Higher Power working through this wonderful forum. How did I stay away so long? thank you for sharing, it humbles me. hugs, Chris
Aloha Gonee...Yep the program is for you to practice not your HP. By the way just some experience? it's okay to practice and do forgiveness while at the same time holding a resentment. It is what I do with the program and inspite of my ego that counts for me.
As an early sponsor taught under these conditions...forgive anyway and forgive first. Keep forgiving as a routine part of your life. Make it a character asset.
I bet it is how your HP treated(s) you heh? In support.
