Our Monday night group showed a movie tonight. We had about 60 people, AA, Alanon and kids. The movie we showed was "Love is not enough." It was such a nice movie. After the show we had snacks and fellowship. We have great fellowship because we have great recovery. All the members really care for one another. If someone relapses then someone from the group will help that person until he gets well. Our wives have also helped the new wives to get well and as a result many families have been rebuilt. Not a word of harshness or rebuke is needed. A genuine love for the sick person really helps him to take the steps necessary to recover fully.
The movie got many of the new ones talking. One 1st timer Alanon decided to join her husband in recovery because she enjoyed the movie and the fellowship so much.
She could not believe that we were all very sick people at one time.

Perhaps we could charter a private jet, Toni. My sponsor is in Mumbai, and most of my friends are in the US and UK.
Our group has very strong sponsorship. Newcomers rarely have a chance to relapse, because we try and get the fundamentals of AA done quickly and then intergrate them into the family network.
My wife and I work relentlessly at this. If we leave it and miss the opportunity in the early days the nonsense starts.
