((())) i saw your post Cheri, thanks all for thinking of me!
I've been having some real nasty virus things going on on my computer....sigh...got this freakin about blank home page I can't seem to get rid of...thats why i haven't been on much.
Went camping last week, had a great time!! I loved laughing with the kids the most while playing frisbee!! Nothing like coffee in the morning (noon or night) made on a campfire!!!!!
Cheri!!! I got my medallion!!! late last week, its' beautiful, thankyou from the top, sides and bottom of my heart. I keep it in my pocket or purse (depending on what i'm wearing..lol) I've taken it out often to admire and remember how far i've come. While camping i had a few moments where i lost my clarity, grounding...But i pulled through. How God works eh? I had my medallion to pull out when I really needed it!!
Haven't been able to get to enough meetings, but I'm working on that. It's a holiday here in Canada today, and i'm working a 7 day stretch. Been really hot here!! but that's ok..i'm not complaining..i'll see snow too soon for my liking!!
Got to spend a week with my youngest daughter, she came camping to, i just feel like i'm 100 % on track when she is around. I hate it when she goes back to her dad's, i seem to fall more to one side of my scale. But, still living one day at a time and praying lots.
well, i guess i'll go catch up with some posts, hope you are all safe and smilin'
hugs, Wendy
Today is August 1, 2005 A Great Day for Recovery!
SELF-RELIANCE
"The way to greatness is the path of self-reliance, independence and steadfastness in times of trial and stress." -- Herbert Hoover
Today I take responsibility for my life. Today I take responsibility for my disease. Today I take responsibility for my recovery. I know I am not perfect and I have many pains and problems yet to face, but I take hope in my daily conquests. Nothing is too great for me to overcome so long as I have confidence in myself. It is my "yes" or "no" that makes the difference. In the power of my choice rests my freedom.
God, I thank You for my daily trials that ensure my victories.
Great to hear from you Wendy, sorry about your computer problems. camping trip sounded fun. I love coffee from a camp fire, and there is nothing better than eggs and bacon cooked on an open campfire also.
Glad it was just a computer virus...I've gotten used to your wonderful posts everyday and got worried. Hope you can get it fixed easily.
Camping sounds like so much fun...just did a week of it and am going to the lake on wed for 2 days, then work for 12 days straight. Bike rally starts on Friday....BUSY BUSY BUSY.
