Hope all is well with you. I have 22 days thus far. I messed up pretty good this time. I keep thinking I've hit bottom so many times it sounds like a spanking. I'm the slowly get it type, verrrry slowly. I do know if I work the steps and and do the first step perfectly, that I can fumble around and do my best with the rest of the steps. Welp hugs to you all; have a happy safe and sober 4th of July. Pray for the men and women fighting for our freedoms. PS I WILL BE BACK HEHE
Howdy David, and welcome back! 22 days is fantastic. I can relate to the "thinking I hit bottom" thing. I'll bet I hit 3 or 4 bottoms before someone told me to quit digging. I guess I finally looked at my shovel (in this case alcohol) and realized that it was the thing I had to get rid of if I ever wanted to start crawling back out of the hole I was in. It came slowly for me too...to the tune of 5 years in and out of AA to finally "get it". I'm glad I did, because if I had kept on the path I was following, I surely would be in that hole, covered with 6 feet of dirt. Just know that I am here to stay sober, and to help you stay sober too! Keep coming back my friend, and don't quit until the miracle happens!
Going sober to see fireworks tonight with my Daughter and gran baby girl. she is 4. Oh yea my wife Tammy also. I'm so gald she finally started in Al-Anon. i asked for years and gave up. haha. I guess I'm not God after all. All things in its own time. We just on the 21st of June had our 30 aniversy. Please pay no mind to my spelling.
