Forewarned, forearmed; being prepared is half the victory. --Miguel de Cervantes
There will be hard times in our program. There will be hard times in our life. That's the way life is. It helps if we accept this. Then we can prepare for tough times. We can prepare by getting a good set of habits and sticking to them. We can make it a habit to give time to our program each day.
Sticking to good habits is like having a savings account: when hard times come, we can take the "investment" we've made and overcome our problems.
Prayer for the Day
Higher Power, help me accept that there will be hard times. Help me prepare for them. With Your help, I'll stay close to You, my friends, and the program.
Action for the Day
I'll put something into my program "savings account" today. I'll make that extra call. I'll read a little longer or go to an extra meeting.
Excellent! Life is difficult, be grateful when it's not. When the going get's tough, remember that it happens and it happens to every one, and also remember that everything has a beginning, middle, and end Hard times and good times. Live in the moment, enjoy, and be grateful. When times are tough, look for (work for) solutions, ask for help and be humbly realize that it could always be a lot worse.
One of my spiritual readings tells me"consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds because you know the testing of your faith develops perserverance.Perserverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything..It is against human nature to want problems, pain or trouble ,but learning to rely on our HP in these times can help our growth.Easier said, than done, but when we do, we can move to another level, thru the grace and mercy of our the God of our understanding.......
