A spiritual writing that talks of our journey into oblivion: Who has woe,Who has sorrow?Who has strife?Who has complaints?Who has needless bruises?Who has bloodshot eyes? Those who linger over wine.Do not gaze at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup.when it goes down smoothly! In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.Your eyes will see strange sights and your mind confusing things. You will be like one sleeping on top of the rigging(thats me Larry)THEY HIT ME you will say but im not hurt,They beat me,but I don't feel it.!When will I wake up so I can find another drink! For 2000 years we have been talking about the devastation of our illness, only by the grace of God,we don't have to search for that "next one"!!

Wowee mikef!! If that doesn't fully describe the vicious beating and complete insanity of alcohol and the alcoholic, I don't know what does!! Thanks!

Wow,
how true that is.  I am so blessed to be in the rooms of AA and not craving poison anymore.

Great post Mike and glad you have stopped sleeping in the rigging.  Brought back memories I have not heard that term in a while.  Made me smile.smile
