Disclaimer: This is not my writing but it is interesting and as an Alcoholic I can identify with it.

Alcoholics Are General Managers Of The World
The alcoholic sees the world from the perspective of a mind that's addicted to a depressant. (alcohol) As a result, their view of the world is not too pretty and they tend to take all of the problems in the world very personally and act as if it's all their responsibility. As you can appreciate, this "job" involves a lot of frustration and is the cause of frequent rants about all that's wrong with the world. This false and misdirected sense of responsibility not only causes the alcoholic to feel resentment, it also causes them to avoid fundamental things that really are their responsibility like paying bills, being on time for work, looking after their personal appearance and so on.
For some alcoholics, they quickly see that being General Manager Of The World will never be a job they can really do, so they retreat into another activity that helps them avoid life. Online games have provided a perfect vehicle for many alcoholics and addicts to do just that.
I'd like to say I've resigned my appointment as King of the World permanently, but like everything else, it's something I have to do One Day At A Time. The sooner in my day I do it, the better the day goes.
I play online games. FF XI and World of Warcraft. I usually play for about 10-15 hours per day. I am addicted to ExP points, that means experience points. Hey! as long as it keeps me from drinking beer, but yes, online games is my other addiction, besides smoking.
Excuse me I need to get some exp points, then I need to level up my crafts. I'll be back laters!
If it feels good I am so there, gotta go! Waves, goobye for now.
