"To be truly humble is to feel a tender acceptance of all reality just as it is, which includes compassion for ourselves just as we are. This kind of humility is a surrender of our whole being to the simple truth of love."

Outer circumstances do not determine my reactions to life, which are the natural results of my habitual thoughts and attitudes.

Closing one door, broken and defeated, it seemed like the worst day of my life. In retrospect, another door opened, and it was probably the most significant single event I will ever experience."

It has become clear to me in sobriety that my thoughts and intentions are the substances from which my life experience is drawn - I am responsible for how I experience my experiences. Over long periods of time, it is the thoughts that I choose to hold, that structure my reactions and influence everyone and everything that I come into contact with."

Today has been a day of accepting, and its ok.

Cabbage? Its true--I hafta take some time and take care of priorities.

The rest is take care of me, and get back on track, through the program.

God has closed one door. I know for certain he will open others

Ellen -? Your right also. The term chasing love--or what I thought was love given fully and unconditionally on both sides was not. The term "As long as you do things my way, and I will love you" is not true love. Its love, with conditions attached.-and if I did not adhere to those conditions, I was punished by withholding love, and in silence. Thats the way I did it when I was a child for gosh sake.

I do not put conditions on love. I cant turn it on and off like a switch. Love one minute and hate the next. Ive learned that thats just not the way unconditional love works.

Gammy-your right-it takes two. And if 2 arent there 150 percent, theres no point in carrying on.

You dont call the one you love a Pig, or an F--ing Asshole-or other great names I wont mention.

The other thing is comittment. I guess its just that some people just cant follow through. Its likely not their fault-they just cant do it.

The easier softer ways are always to give up--to quit-to run-and to blame.--instead of resolving.

When I was drinking I did it continuously, so-who am I to judge?

Have a good night guys. Im off to an Alanon meeting.
