Humility

"Perpetual quietness of heart. It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted or vexed, irritable or sore; to wonder at nothing that is done to me, to feel nothing done against me.

"It is to be at rest when nobody praises me, and when I am blamed or despised, it is to have a blessed home in myself where I can go in and shut the door and pray to my Father in secret and be at peace, as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around and about is seeming trouble. "

Thanks Larry,
I found humility through considerable amount of humiliation, whether drunk or sober. My drunken humiliation just got drowned with alcohol. My sober humiliation in AA was the difficult one to deal with. As I worked on the steps of recovery, little by little I found I accepted humiliation in my life as a point of growth. That is why Bill always spoke about "Pain is touchstone to progress."
Now I have to teach to my kids and newcomers. That is why acceptance is the key. I found that spiritual growth can begin here.

Each days journey of my life is geared toward walking as close to the God of my understanding which brings me the humility and faith in the storms of 'life on lifes terms! Thanks Larry,it will remind me again to take nothing personally, presuming everything is about me,which it is not! .(POSTED AFTER READING)....I have never been one for coincidences occurring so  after I post I open up my spiritual readings before I start my DAY..CHECK IT OUT..says"He has showed you O man, what is good. And what does God require of you?To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with Him!  I certainly will thank my HP for an extended invitation to the journey of humility NOT ONLY ON THIS DAY BUT EACH GOING FORWARD....!Have a blessed and productive day.........smile
