Recently when people ask me "how are you man " I answer " Im Greatful..."
I have'nt posted here in a while.Just wanted to stop in and say a BIG thank you to everyone that helped kick me in the butt to get sober. Im so thankful and greatful for my second chance.I check in daily to read everyones posts, Still I dont feel comfortable enough in my own sobriety to comment much. I truly am greatful to know you people and to have found this website.Thank you so much for throwing me the Life perserver when I needed it most.
When it's time it will happen. When it happens you will be directed. "After all we cannot give something we do not have..." Keep coming back. Gratitude expressed by a recovering alcoholic is the most useful to them that hear it.

When people ask me how I am I always respond "OUTSTANDING, BUT THATS OK BECAUSE ITS BOUND TO GET BETTER"
This came about when an oldtimer told me a long time ago "Larry you can start your day any way you want because it is a choice". Ever since then I have chosen to start my day at the outstanding level and work up from there.
Passing it on I want to let you know that you can choose how your day is regardless of outside influences, it is a decision.

That's great to hear. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed as it were today and am trying to turn my mood around. Gratitude is such a wonderful thing. I used to try and name three things I was grateful for every night before I fell asleep. It got to the point where I was too drunk to do that before I passed out and became a lot more unhappy because of it. I feel like every time I acknowledge gratitude for something, two more things come along to be grateful for to join the party.
