I came back a day early, my friend had to work. My daughter was the biggest fisher though,,,she caught 8 fish!!!!
I caught one.....but it was the only perch:)
Was so nice to spend a night out at the cabin with my daughter, she 16 now and pretty much has a life of her own. We went for a walk last night, star gazing.
There was a lady out visiting that was really, disgustingly, drunk. My daughter came to me, put her arms around me and thanked me for being clean and sober for 399, (400 today...yeah!!!!!!) days. Honestly, watching that lady, acting like anything but a lady, sure kept me sober last night!!!! swearing around....well, no need to go into all the details I guess...Just really grateful it wasn't me making a fool out of myself...like I used to.
back to my fishing story.....we tried out a new boat yesterday...kind of funny, well not all of us were laughing...lol....ended up rowing to shore...then went and got the other boat...so we could tow the first boat to the boat launch...good thing this happened before we wanted to fish...we ended up still having lots of time for fishing.
As soon as I started getting bites we ran out of bait!!!!!! Crap!!!
Ya know, I never used to do anything with out a drink in my hand, fishing, camping...you name it. Well this summer I've experienced them both, sober. What a concept! And I had just as much fun!!!
Well, i'm off to get ready for my home group meeting tonight.
Stay safe and smilin' and cool!!
We got temps of 40 with the humidex...phew...not complaining though...snow stays around way to long for my likin'
hugs & hugs, Wendy

Sounds like you had a ball! What an excellent way to spend the weekend. I'm giggling at the thought of you in the boat...I have always told my girls "No worries..she'll be right mate" and just figured I'd manage...so often I've found out "she aint right"... I too have learned to row and I'm smiling because it was alongside such a lot of laughter from my girls as we went in circles, downstream screaming and squealing etc. So I hope you got the hang of it quicker than I did. lol.

Thanks for getting me grinning again.
