I thank God for my sobriety. I thank Him for the most wonderful wife in the world.
I thank Him for my 2 children. All this would not have been possible without AA.
So now my gratitude to AA. To help in whatever way possible the still suffering.
So many times I have been rescued by other people. To all of you wherever you are,
my brothers and sisters a big HUG and thank you to you.
Gonee.

I thank my Higher Power for all the good things in my life but whenever things start going to the dogs, I can thank myself for that. If I let Him run the show, things go along much better. I know just what you mean gonee. :) Thanks for reminding me of this.

I sure can relate to Ellen's Post.   If I start to have difficulties in my life you can be sure that I caused it by taking back the driver's seat.

Hi Gonee,

Good to see you here...and awe sweet gratitude indeed. I was pausing today in Prayer, and for a second I glanced back at where I was when I came in.  The state of affairs in our lives, then, for me I was a black out drunk for my 3 or 4 last years, and to think that I sit here reaching out to other suffering alcoholics.....just sort of blows me away......

Only thru the unwarrented Grace of a Loving and caring God, that pulled me up and out of despair many years ago to.... today.....my deepest gratitude always starts with be given a life.

Thank you for your Postings, your Spirit is "felt" in all that you write, and is so very appreciated.

thank you again, toni.

Aloha Gonee...I'm grateful you're expressing gratitude for sobriety with the
others.  I am also and expressed it this morning at my home group; AA at
the Bay (Hilo).  I am grateful I am where I am at the time that I'm here with
the people I am with, doing the thing that I'm doing and why.  I am grateful
I'm getting what I'm getting from doing what I've been doing for the reasons
I've been doing it and that I have an opportunity to stay sober and continue
to do it over and over and over getting a longer gratitude.   I'm grateful that
Bill W turned right toward the bank of telephones in the hotel lobby rather
than left into the bar.  Had he not done as directed by whatever power which
was directing him at that time the chances of any of us realizing this moment
and being grateful for it might not have unfolded.

I'm grateful.
