Aloha Fellowship!!

So we are not a glum lot are we and we do absolutely great stuff for our recovery
and absolutely insist upon it.  A sponsee called me last night when I was
practicing "Letting Go and Letting God" and turning all aspects of my life over
to Him who I call Father and enjoying the feedback from it.  My sponsee told
me that he has just watch "a most incredible" hula (You all know that is cultural
dancing in Hawaii right?), and I mentioned that I had been watching it also...he
and me on the same page again!!  The show is an annual 4 day event and a
competition of hula schools or studios thru out the island and also individual
females for Miss Aloha Hula.  I have attached a link and I hope the majority of
you can pick this up, of the 2nd place winner who did a hula honoring elders (me!!) past and present and those who were and are healers (Sponsors are healers are they not?).  This hula is a modern dance that even those who have
never come here or seen one before will be able to interpret.  This happens to
be one method that my HP gets my attention cause being born and raised here
(of course this is also where the drunk seed was first planted) the hula is a very
spiritual medium.

http://tinyurl.com/y64hgkn   see if you can hook up to this link and enjoy
what you watch.  If you get to pull up the gal in white and lavender, she was
the winner.  I won't try to pronounce their names for you...sorry but the
pictures will tell a thousand words.   Enjoy smile

Hi Jerry,

Thank you for the link. I got to watch a few. Dance is such a powerful form of expression. I liked one I watched with the guys. NO, not just because of their young lithe bodies; the dance reminded me of a form we used to do in martial arts. In fact the style I studied came from a style that originated in Hawaii.

Thanks Jerry,

It brings back great memories.  I sobered up in Hawaii while stationed at Pearl Harbor on the USS Somers DDG-34.
