Last night I did a little internet search for two things; clarified butter & carmelizing onions.
OMG!!!! By using these simple kitchen procedures I opened a whole new door to tastes and flavors I never experienced outside a restaurant!
I made a mirpoit alfredo by carmelizing minced onions, garlic, carrots and red bell pepper in clarified butter and then adding the alfredo sauce ingredients; cream, butter, real parmesan and OMG! MAJOR mouthgasm!
Next project is almondine coating & sauce for my freshwater fish catches!
