Big Congrats LeeU, for 27 big ones! 27 is a very cool number numerically speaking being 3 cubed and 3 times 9, as well as 2 + 7 equals 9. 27 was also the age that I voluntarily went to an AA meeting, needless to say not the first by a long shot.
Wow, that's awesome. If I'm being honest with myself, due to health reasons I doubt I'll live another 27 years. But hey, at least I have right now to share this great event with you. Way to go!
Well Done in your Sobriety, Leeu.. No doubt you've been doing something very right to come so far. It is a miracle. Thank you for not giving up & showing me it can be done. A message of hope indeed. Does the program help you or are you of the 'stay away from the first drink & you can't get drunk team?
I ask because I'm wondering if I can continue to go to any lengths to have what you have. I'm fearful at the moment & do not want to take a drink yet doubt could take me out.. I will continue to learn & work this program! Thank you for your loving experience, strength & hope. Walking along with you, Danielle x

If you add all the years that have come to pass from you giving it away it would blow your mind!! Ever attempt to add the time of others you have helped into and thru this program of recovery? It's a concept of step 12. Congradulations and keep coming back.
Leeu, WOW! That's Awesome. I always wanted to hang out with the big kids when I was little. Still do today... my sponsor has 24 years. Nice to see we have a big kid here on MIP.
...and the way it works is that today when my hot sweaty self thought a cold one would be oh-so-good, I bought a bottle of water and whined to my beloved how this day-at-a-time s**t gets real old after 27 fricken' years...at which he just said, well, darlin', then just fake it 'til you make it LOL
