sefriaso,
The convention is open to all AA people world wide. It is not an online event but rather it is live and in person. You would need to travel from the Phillipines to participate.
Thanks for the response, with God's grace i will be there on that event, i love preaching and helping people with strunggles in alcohol addiction and other related vices in life. I have a heart of giving those people find a way in changing their lives, and i'm very willing to observe and participate the big event you will be celebrating on the 1st to 4th of july. Yes, im in the philippines and with God's grace if i can have a budget for my ticket i will be there. God bless
Welcome to MIP. I've met so many great people here who have been able to share their own experiences with me and help me stay sober one day at a time. It's great there are people from around the world that can ban together to solve our common problem. I have to be honest (after all, it's an honest program) and let you know that when I read your post where you stated you like "preaching" i got a little knot in my stomach. I'm not sure how much you know the program, and maybe it's just a translation thing, but here at AA no one "preaches" to anyone else. We (Alcoholics Anonymous) are not affiliated with any outside sect, denomination, politics, or religion. There are many members who simply don't participate in any organized or institutionalized religion (myself included). One of the things that makes out program work is respecting others beliefs, and not trying to impose our own on others. Please don't think I'm bashing on religion. It works for many people, and that's great for them. I'm glad that I was able to find a God of my own understanding, because if this program had told me what I had to believe in I wouldn't have made it. I think that's why I have issues with organized religion. When someone imposes their beliefs on me, and tells me what I HAVE to do to "get something or somewhere", my mind and ears end up snapping shut, and I can't afford to let that happen. The only way I'm able to learn from my fellow A.A.'s is to keep my mind and ears open and try to follow their SUGGESTIONS.
I don't mean to offend, and I'll climb down off my soap box now, and simply say, "keep coming back" and help us all stay sober.
Hi, thanks for a nice and warm welcome on my participation in your group. I do believe God will continue pour out HIS awesome blessings to all of you who sincerely and loving feel sober to everyone who really longged for the complete changes in life. God bless you so much....With Gods grace and mercy hopefully i can be with you guys in the event.
