I made it to 30 days sans alcohol. Glad to have made it here, but thought it might get easier by now. Unfortunately, I've felt pretty trapped and terrified the last few days. Whether that's the 30 day itch, I don't know. Anyway, thanks for all the support from people on the board. A couple of you have really listened to me rant and I do appreciate it.Thanks!
Congratulation Runnergirl!!! I look for your post to see your progress and your doing fine. Living life on lifes terms. It does get easier for real. There will be times when you feel joy and that in itself will seem scary because we are not use to it. Joy doesn't scare me anymore and the promises are coming true. Keep up the good work and thanks for helping ME to stay sober!!
You did it, and a big Congratulations. Watched you struggling for a long time, and as Susie said, yes it does indeed get easier. All any of us do is the 24 hours we are in.
Big Hugs, and hope you will get that coin!

Ironically so the problem really starts when we stop drinking. The fear, the frustration, the uncertaintity, the withdrawls, and all that stuff that goes with sobering up.
This is where and when Alcoholics Anonymous steps in and starts to fill the gaps and the blank spots and the uncertain times.
Congrats Laurie!!! And try to limit expectations of what things "should be" like. Do you think I was all better by day 30? Heck no. I was much worse than you it sounds. I'm still not all better...(it's all good though). Just keep trusting the process and have faith in healing over time. You are doing great!!!

Keep coming back. It works if you work it. So work it. You're worth it!
Think back to the morning after your last drink. Your first day or two of sobriety. Even your first week. What was that like? I found that doing that always helped me to see how much progress I had really made. Sure, nothing is really perfect at 30 days, but it's 30 days better than that first day.
Getting the first thirty days done proves that you can live without alcohol. Now your head is clear you should start on the programme, if you haven't already. Learn how to live sober. Home Group, Step Group, Sponsor , Steps!
Congratulations on getting this far to RG and soon to LOL.
