St. Patrick's Day

Today I'll make some corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's Day. Years ago, during my drinking days that was the day to drink green beer.

One time in college, me and two other guys rented a house together and St. Pat's day was on a Saturday. So Friday, we had a blow out party... with green beer... everything was green.

About three o'clock in the morning there were people crashed out everywhere... except me and a few others. So I had a brainstorm idea. At least at the time it sounded like a good idea. A few of us headed to a twenty four hour grocery store and I bought a bunch of bacon and eggs.

I was going to make everybody breakfast! We got back to the house and partied till the sun came up and I headed into the kitchen. The house smelled great with the aroma of bacon and eggs. Now this is where my brainstorm idea came into play.

I thought it would be awesome coloring the eggs and the bacon green. Dumbest idea I ever had. Nothing and I mean nothing looks worse if you are drunk or worse yet hungover then green eggs and green bacon. We had people puking and gagging... nobody ate breakfast... except our two dogs... they didn't seem to mind green eggs and bacon...

Based on your tag line I would say you must have had a busy mind that day - LOL

And Happy St Patrick's day from Ireland. It's my 3rd St. Patrick's day sober. I like the green bacon and eggs story. In the bars here the only ones who want green beer are the tourists. An Irishman wouldn;t thank you for messing with his Guinness. Mind you, in my drinking days I didn't care so long as it was wet, had alcohol and there was no shortage I didn't care!! Anyway, it's great to be sober!

Keep well everyone!

Would you eat them in a house? Would you eat them with a mouse?

I will not eat them, Sam I Am! I will not eat green eggs and ham!
