I just wanted to let everyone know Im still hanging in there, I had a slip up last week but Im back to a week sober today... Still going to meetings everyday and checking into this site. I do alot of reading but still feel too new to post too much.
Its getting easier to catch my triggers before The catch me...if that makes any sense..lol. I feel like Im kinda starting to get it.I feel really good too, even with my slip up last week...I still feel better than I have in a long time. my life motto has become "One Day At a Time!!! "
Way to go Jerry! Being honest about your journey is very important.Share how you feel, there is no grading here,we all came in with straight F'S..absolutely know "your" disease and see it coming,,Congrats on week back .I could only suggest getting literature to read daily,if you don't already have it and continue taking it "one day at a time"Have you listened for a sponsor?Making meetings will reenforce the spiritual principles and highly suggested.Let us know how your doing and thanks for helping keep us sober!!

Ok, none of my business but wanted to comment on some of your words..."but still feel too new to post too much"
I will say that I completely accept that if that is how you feel.
In my heart, I have always felt this Board is for the New Person, and recalled when you were here just a few weeks ago, right, that you were posting and responding a lot.
Happy you are going to those meetings, did you get a Sponsor yet?
Yep, "One day at a time" we ALL share that in common.
You are a blessing and a part of this Board just like we all are.
Welcome back Jerry...it would help a lot more to have a sponsor who will stand with you on this journey and a Higher Power. When I came to admit that I was the problem and that my Higher Power and the program was my only solution I did what was suggested and all of the sponsors who have ever walked the walk with me have made a huge difference. I agree with Toni, post as often and as much as you want. This site is awesome cuz you get feedback about questions from several people where as you don't necessarily get that in meetings cuz of no crosstalking rules. There may be some things we know from being in AA a bit longer but none of us, I mean NONE OF US, is any better than anyone else around here.
