As most of you know I've been out of work for the past 2 weeks. Car broke down & finally got it fixed Monday. I've put a few applications in this week & 1 job interview. Now, I'm getting a cold & just don't feel like searching for a job. Just want to lay around this week. Why couldn't I had gotten a cold when the car was out of commission? Guess my HP decided I needed a vacation instead! LOL

Amen, Mikef! You know, my dad has always said things to me, when I was disappointed, like "You know, there could have been a bad car accident that you would have been involved in had you been on your way to so-and-so. Maybe he wanted for you to stay home that day.... Things happen for a reason."
I have always helpd onto that simple thought, it helps me get over and cope with my expectations of what is going to happen each day that I plan. God's plans are better than mine!!
You will get a job soon enough, when God opens it up for you. Until you are well enough to get out there again, take care and eat soup and drink lots of tea. Get well, new friend, and sending hugs and warm wishes to you.

When things don't go as I hope, it's mostly because there is something better waiting in the wings.
Like, I took the brakes off my motorbike a week or so before the freezing weather landed, then the snow - no need for me to take a decision about winter riding, because the brakes still aren't back from the manufacturer.
But........... last night I found a brand new pair of front discs for my bike, in England, still in the original packaging and £60 a disc cheaper than list price. (Vendor had bought them 5 years ago, his buyer never collected).
They'll be here on Monday, weather is picking up, still getting a pair made, pressure now off.

I was up all night with the sniffles & couldn't sleep. Didn't go to bed until around 8am this morning. Slept all day & I feel much better. Got 3 doses of medicine in me since last night & it's starting to break up the mucus & I'm feeling much better now!! thx
