Just remembered to share the title of this book with the board as I got it back this
morning from another local recovering fellow who wanted a read.  This is the book
written by James R. Milam (MD) and Katherine Ketcham that I used in college and
which was instrumental in opening up doors of awarenesses that eventually led me
to my own assessment and the drawing away of the veil of denial that kept me from
admitting my own addiction to alcohol.   If you're interested you can find it at
Borders or Amazon or places such.  It's the best I've learned from.

In support.  smile

Morning Jerry,
Thanks for sharing. I must admit that when I saw the title for some really strange reason I thought of myself being under the influence ( of alcohol ), and then for some other strange reason I thought of Ron White ( one of the blue collar comedians ) and how He noted being arrested while drunk ... Officer told Him he had the right to remain silent, but Ron said he didnt have the capability to remain silent, lol.
Many times in my drunkeness I could NOT keep my mouth shut. Whether dealing with the law or whoever. My mouth ran and ran and ran constantly !

It is SO nice and such a blessing to be sober today. I am calm, I have a piece of mind and I can most certainly determine when to keep my mouth shut, cuz I am no longer under the influence of alcohol.

Sounds like an interesting and education book Jerry. I may look for it next time Im at Barnes & Nobles smile.gif

oh yeah, under the influence...can relate to the stories on here, especially about not being able to keep my mouth shut! Yep, I was Will Rogers, Shakespeare and Albert Einstein all rolled into one when I was drinking. At least I thought so. Seems nobody else did. ;)
