HI, I was watching some really neat looking birds at my bird feeder this morning. Just all busy with pecking around, taking turns, almost seeming happy. It came to mind that if I wanted to continue to enjoy those little critters I would need to continue putting food in the feeder. My part in My joy!.
I'm about to build a couple of outside feeders myself so that I can increase the joy too Toad. Just remember...Don't drink cause the picture changes dramatically.
My home office overlooks our dock where the egrets, herons, ospreys, pelicans and other water birds fish off of. We have cherry tree at one of our other houses (that we lived in for 13 years). Every summer a bazillion red breasted robins gorge themselves on the cherries and it makes them drunk. It goes on for days.
vvvv not my dock

I love watching birds feed...fish too. I just bought myself a small aquarium and it is doing a lot for my serenity and enjoyment! Simple pleasures, how fantastic to be able to see, feel, appreciate, share. Sober. Hmmm...must be a correlation there!
Aquadude, I believe that toad was making an analogy. If he wants to continue to enjoy the birds feeding then he must maintain the beed feeder. As in, if we want to continue enjoying our sobriety, serenity.... we must maintain our spiritual condition (meetings, steps, prayers, helping others)
