hi everyone today is friday i used to think oh no. i not suppose to drink because im in aa nowt i enjoy the weekends with my family and friends (not the peple from the bar i thought were friends) i feel great and doing fine just checking in god bless you all WAGON
I now feel the same about Friday's. Its a great time for bbq, and slushies. I love cherry snow cones. I have a bbq pit and a "smoker". I love to smoke brisquits and ribs.

Hi Guys... Good to hear you are both grinning. I hope you both enjoy your weekend. I have no idea what I will get up to this weekend, but I have no shortage of things on my mental list, or around me in the form of unfinished projects. I am on holidays at the mo...and just loving it! Wandering about...taking the time to just look at stuff...and soak it up. We are all so lucky to get a second chance at life, huh? Things change so quickly once we start saying No to the grog. Have a good one guys. I'm off do start the day with morning rounds and say G'day to my 4 legged mates.

Thanks for checking in Wagon. I know what you mean about the old friends from the bar. I now have the privilege of hanging out with a few of my old friends from the bars, I was a bartender, so they were also my customers. We see each other 2 nights a week at AA meetings, it's great to get to know them, really know them, all of us now sober.
Hey Nic, I'm with you , just wandering around soaking up stuff. I've been up since 4:30 am, went out to the church at 6 am to turn off the water on the flower beds this morning. It is out in the country, I sat outside facing the east watching the sunrise into the clouds, the many shades of pink, purple and blues, there is a corn field and it amazes me how the corn is growing each day, it's a foot or more taller each day.
My granddaughter has been here again this week and we have had a great time, I am grateful her parents have given me the honor of keeping her again so soon. They both work and she will start a summer program this Monday, and I may not get to keep her much more this summer. So I have been enjoying her, except the day she leaned on my Mom's oooold bathroom sink and it came off of the wall. All is well, her Dad will help me fix it today when they come to pick her up. She was just trying to get a closer look at her gorgeous face.
Life is good, I'm sober and I'm glad you are all here.
