i met with my sponsor today...she is my rock...i am so blessed to have found her...she keeps me so grounded. we decided i was complete with step two and i am now working through step three. i will admit thep three scared the living poo out of me when i first started aa...but whist reading it i am relieved to turn my will and my life over to God. As I continue to work thru AA, things continue to just fall into place. Of course, things will always have their ups and downs...but I'm ready to let go and let God take over. its a realllllly good feeling...

that is all

Ask her to go over the step three prayer with you Blessed; that way you can do step
three the second you wake up every morning.   Good work!!  smile

Thanks for sharing.

The 3d step decision is one we have to continue to try to remember and work on everyday.

For many of us it is only natural to want to grab our will and take it back.

Yah. Wanted to echo Rob. Steps 1 through 3 are the foundation. You are never done with them and their meaning will grow stronger and shift and change over time. Step 1 changes over time because you realize with more sober time and clarity how much of a mess your life was in ways you didn't even know and you also realize you are more powerless over things than you thought initially. Step 2 is a process over time because clarity and sanity can be restored in increments and coming to believe is ongoing....and we might shift our beliefs in God from time to time (usually growing stronger and better)...Step 3..like Rob said..an every day thing...get irritated..let go, let God...rinse repeat until it sinks in deeper and deeper and replaces crappy thinking and obsessing...it takes time and constant work cuz we never get perfect at doing it. Either way, you sound like you are doing great and, even if nobody said this stuff, you would automatically figure it out with time in the program. Also, your putting effort into the steps and applying them to your life regularly is where really good recovery starts. Keep it up!

Megan,
That's awesome.  I love to hear folks who are doing the work in this 12 Step Program.  When I did step 3 it felt alittle funny but did it anyway.  A few of the bricks fell out of my backpack after completing it.  The rest feel out with 4-9.  Like some have said in replies above, time to stop thinking so much and let go.. let god..  God walks before us and will reveal more to us as we go along.  We need to keep a clear head so we can hear/see his message.
