Taking responsibility

Dear All,
Sometime ago, I submitted a chapter for my thesis, I got the feedback today, not good, grammar terrible, English bad, etc.  I emailed back and told my supervisor that I had been over anxious to submit it and yes,it needed a hell of lot more work which I am prepared to do. He contacted me, said he understood and that in the future I should ask for an extension when this happened. When I drank, nothing at all got submitted, so I think of this as an improvement, also I'm not hungover all the time so I've got time to learn grammar, I was a bit upset but nothing like I would be if I was drinking, that really magnified everything for me, so I'm happy that I'm sober, weather is still desperate but am really hoping to get to a meeting tomorrow, and going to convention next week, am now going to bed and am asking hp for help on this and to keep me away from a drink today,

Hey Newcomer,
That is a great job of recognizing this for the victory it is!!! You are taking responsibility and taking actions to correct a situation! Before, it was an excuse to drink. Outstanding. I suggest Microsoft Word and spell check. Then bounce it off someone with expertise.

Well Done for thinking positive, Lorna. We all have to start somewhere & make the best with what we have. You'll be surprised how much progress you will make now that you can put the time & perseverance in. Doing this & coming to work a program is tough stuff but if you keep on keeping on you will grow so much as you can already see. Keep your head up, dear sister. I'm proud of you & know you'll do well. Enjoy every opportunity you have to learn. Truly a gift! Godbless, lady. Keep us posted. Love, Danielle x
