Hi all. Today is my sobriety birthday, I am sober 21 years today. If I had written down, 21 years ago, what my life would be like without alcohol I would have grossly sold myself short. I never dreamed life could be so great. Sometimes I think if only I would have quit drinking earlier in my life, but then I know it took every drink I took, every person I harmed and every wrong I did to get me where I am today. God and AA didn't open the doors of heaven and let me in God and AA opened the doors of hell and let me out. Thanks for letting me share.
Peace and love from a very gratefull alcoholic.

Thanks all. It is people like all of you, and my higher power who have made it possible. None of us can do it alone. I don't know how many 24 hr days there are in 21 years and it doesn't matter because today is the most important 24 in my life. All any of us should be concerned with is today. One today is worth two tomorrows.

Happy 21st Soberversary, Bob. And after all your years 1Day@aTime I'm reassured by the simplicity of this wisdom. Thank you for your gratitude. It is a gift for me too. Godbless & Godwilling Just for Today, Danielle x

You give me hope. I like when people share gratitude and their experience with expected results vs. actual results. My sponsor keeps telling me the same thing. Maybe I should listen............. I think I will....
