Hey ya'll,

Toni - I'm okay. Just...tired. Thanks for your check-in aww

Been a weird month, but nothing The HP, AA & tiny me couldn't handle.
Work has been pretty overwhelming. Family has been good...but busy. I've been working The Program slowly but surely.

My Halloween relapse has had a significant impact on how I run my life in sobriety.
More ACCEPTANCE and less EXPECTATIONS.
More QUIET and less CHAOS.
More YIELDING and less PUSHING.

Hmm. I see a pattern. More of what I used to think of as less-than, and less of what I used to dwell on more.

That's all I have. I'm happy, sober and alive.

Best,
Rob

Yo AM,
As Pinkchip pointed out in his excellent post, the holidays can be strange with all kinds of situations that can trigger the monkey that used to be on your back to jump back on your back. Reciently, I have found that more leisure time can actually be a large enemy! We need to all "trust but verify" ourselves during the holidays!!!

Yay, Aquaman!! I have been absent a bit from MIP lately, but so glad I came here to see that you have jumped right back on the horse. I did not know that you had a slip, but by golly, you are not alone!! Stick around, please stick around, friend.

What you said,
"More ACCEPTANCE and less EXPECTATIONS.
More QUIET and less CHAOS.
More YIELDING and less PUSHING.".... is just about as good a saying as I have ever seen here. If ya don't mind (and I'm sure you don't), it is something that deserves a copy/paste/print, and glued to the top of my PC. Terrific and true stuff.

You have a good understanding of yourself and of the challenges a lot of us have in recovery. There are young guys out there that you don't even know yet, who will be needing your help, and you will be just the right person to do it. So stick around, there is plenty of work to be done!!!

Take care, welcome back, and sending you enormous and plentiful hugs.

Joni
