This place is filling up now, the convention will begin tomorrow sometime in the afternoon.  Danielle and I have finally met, and she and her partner Carl are lovely young people.  It's amazing that everywhere you look there are people chatting one to one, people who would normally never ever meet in life, except for in AA.

I have told Danielle about the internet access so she may well log on sometime, if she can drag herself away from having fun for long enough.  JC and I spent the day lazing round the pool, got a tan already, and have finally started to slow down, it usually takes me a couple of days to realise I am on holiday, and don't have to go for the four minute mile anymore, so today my walking pace has slowed considerable, (That could be due to the amount of ice cream I have eaten) disbelief

It never ceases to amaze me how you can be walking down the street and spot someone with the AA emblem on show, and within minutes of shaking their hand you are swopping life stories (and phone numbers too usually)

Sounds great, I wish that I was there. Have a great time. Of course we're experiencing some fantastic weather right now on the west coast of FL and I'm glad that my trips to the mountains are done for the season. Post pics when you can. smile.gif

Wish you were here too, there are quite a few Americans here, from New Jersey who are having a ball. The convention convener has just arrived to get set up, so soon it'll be all systems go.

Well, the convention wound up at noon today with a meeting followed by the 'sobriety countdown' many have left the hotel already, but there are still plenty of us left, and we have arranged a meeting this evening at 8pm.
