How is everyone doing? Today was a very long day for some reason... I haven't really figured out why? I haven't been feeling very good for the last few days, running a little fever. And then it's been our hottest days this almost summer so far. I love the heat though, I usually thrive in it.

I didn't go to church tonight which is not me at all. My husband is back to his drinking after his weekend with his AA sponsor, he hasn't worked in two days. He says he just can't do this, and it would be easier to go back to jail for the next 10 years. I'm to the point I agree with him. It is so hard to watch my husband , the father of my son and the only dad my daughter has left, do this to him self.

I just have to reflect back to the days I was drinking and think only by the grace of God. I thank God and praise Him for what He has done in my life. He gave me a new life when I got sober. Even with my husband still drinking I learned to enjoy life, my kids and I went and did the things we wanted to do without him. I always went to meetings, in town and out of town without him, there are not many times I can think of that he caused us to miss out on an event if we wanted to go. I can give Al-anon a thank you for that, but also my AA sponsor.

I am grateful to be sober today, breathing, smiling, crying, living life on lifes terms. How about ya'll?

Gammyrose,  ((((HUGS)))   Im very sorry to hear of your hard times, I don't know what to say to help you fix them though. One thing I do know is to do alot of praying, for your husband, I will say a prayer for you.

maybe what you could do is focous more on your kids, can you take them some where fun for the day just you and the kids, even if its just a picnic that might help take your mind off of stuff for a little while at least.

Also if you go to church can you get the pastor of the church to help you with this situation?

I don't belong to a chruch but alot of people do.

((((((((( HUGS ))))))))))

Godbless!

Matisa, Thanks for your reply, it was very kind. I was just venting I guess. I did come down with a infection, and I am now feeling some better.

My kids are now 18 and 28 years old and live a 100 miles away.I keep my self very busy caring for my 77 year old mother, meetings, talking to people in the program, I do odd jobs for people. My husband lives in the rent house on our property soooo, I don't have to see him unless I so chose, which I don't when he is drinking.

Yes my church family prays for my husband, as does our AA family. We will not give up 5 minutes before the miracle.

Thank you all for your replies and prayers.

God bless!
