I have never had headaches, occasionaly in the morning during my years of daily drinking but they went away pretty easily (especially if I didn't have to work and could start drinking again).
My wife and I got sober about the same time 18 months ago, neither of us had much in the way of physical DT's or problems. In fact both of us had a huge improvement in blood pressure and my wife no longer needs to take BP meds.
3 months ago we both got headaches, not sometimes but all the time. We wake up with headaches. She's been to her Dr, a neurologist and got put back on a BP med that is supposed to help with headaches, still has them. I've had our home checked for CO2, crawled around underneath it looking for mold and racked my brain trying to figure out an environmental cause (our son doesn't have problems). I'm wondering if somehow it could be a delayed reaction to not drinking? I don't see how but have been trying to think of all possibilities. Anyone have experience with this?
Oh, and no major stresses in the releationship - things are better than they have been for year......
For me there are now very few reasons for headaches. no.1 is dehydration no. 2 is back and neck pain no. 3 is tiredness no. 4 is blunt trauma (beating my head against the wall when my back is in spasm)
I rule out the obvious before going looking for the oddities. the first place I look for the oddities is at the quacks. (the doctor's), but usually it's one or more of the obvious.

sinus, allergies, trouble with vision, stress anywhere ?? Im not a doctor but I seriously doubt it is any form of delayed reaction from not drinking . After 18 months the withdrawls should most definately be gone.
If you cant pinpoint this and soon, I would see your regular Doc.
I want to 2nd dehydration. Drink water consistently. Not lots at once-slow continuous drinking of all liquids is good. I get caffeine headaches if I overdo or not have any for about 15 hours. Meditation has taught me to focus on the headache watch its ebb and flow-try to feel the precise location. Then you can learn if it is stress. Are you tense around neck and shoulders? We can be stressed about good things in our lives. In recovery our bodies continue to adjust to overstimulation-18 months is long enough to detox but not all of our body heals at once. Keep practicing mindfulness in all you do and you will find your answers. Stay with the alternative solutions and away from bp meds and stuff like that! My opinion of course. I have altered my bp and cholestrol through healthy foods-lots of fiber from fruit and vegies- exercise-nothing strenuous just constant activity.
Any kind of stress can trigger a headache. I had to go through physical therapy once to loosen my neck muscles. This economy is pushing the limits of stress any way you look at it. Give each other neck and back rubs and stretch out your shoulder muscles and see if that will help.
I use to have that condition also and not any more. Alcohol is a liquid depressant and relaxant. Too much and I got hangover headaches; not a whole lot I just got to the point that I didn't have the where with all to stress out and then not a whole lot wasn't natural for me. High Blood pressure can and does manifest itself often in the head and caused me head aches. I also use to be unaware as to what stress was like or not like in my body, mind and emotions soooo not knowing I didn't know what to go after to correct the problem if it was manifesting.
What happened; I learned how to meditate and practice metaphysical control... visualization, spiritual conditioning or reconditioning and the like. I don't get head aches now for long long periods of time and when they try to make an appearance I can reduce them and their affect to zero within seconds. Sobriety blessing. The practice is wholistic meaning that my whole system is included in the practice not only my head because the whole system is interconnected.
