hello..my name is Lori, and i'm an alcoholic..new to the board, and i like it..is a wonderful place..not new to sobriety..was sober for 18 months back in the mid 80's..i guess i don't just 'slip'..i fall down and go boom...but, by the grace of my higher power and some absolutely fabulous people...i'm back..it is true, what they say..AA wrecks a good drunk...  ;)  i had 20some years to think about it..(sometimes i'm a little slow)..and i need to say thank you...to you all...i'm eternally grateful that you are here...thank you...

Welcome back Magic!  AA does wreck a good drunk.  Belly full of beer and a head full of AA.  It was hard for me to deny I was an alcoholic and going to AA, but still drinking.  It really played games in head.

Welcome to the board. I have found this to be a great source of support and I am sure you will to. This, in combination with therapy and a loving boyfriend have helped me change my life.
