I'm away for the week, 170 miles south of home. With a big group of people 20 adults & 10 kids!
Feeling chuffed with myself as i've just returned from an AA meeting down here. It was really good to be with some like minded people and talk openly. Quite brave to find a meeting on my own and positive to make the time, I feel.
On top of that I actually looked all this up before leaving home and planned this in, better than waiting for the crisis moments to occur.
Well done Ali, that's a good way to do it, find out where the meetings are and go when you want / need to.
I made the mistake of going to Edinburgh and not printing off the meeting lists nor taking my phone numbers with me ' cos after all I been sober two and a half years by this point, I know where the Embra meetings are and I'll be OK.
It was the worst dry drunk of a weekend of my life! Lesson Learnt!
