I just thought that I would drop in and say 'hi' to you all. I hope that you are all well and sober.
I'm still sober and just so thankful and grateful to the wonderful fellowship of AA for every sober day that I have.
I had a computer problem for a little while, but a new graphics card sorted it out and I'm now back up and running. So, that feels good. I hope to start posting regularly again on MIP as it is such a good board filled with wonderful people.
Life is starting to get better for me and that feels so good. I was recently popped on to sleeping pills as I haven't been sleeping well recently and also anti-depressants. But, I stopped taking the anti-depressants a few days ago as I was permanently exhausted. And, my heart condition is settling back down again. So, life is starting to look up and feeling good again.
I start the last part of my university course in September and I'm looking forward to that. It'll be good to be studying again, but my studies are going well and I'm happy with my grades so far.
Take care everyone and have a super and sober weekend,
Carol

Yay! Welcome back! Scroll down to see the "Where's Quetzal/I miss Carol" threads. Glad things are going well. Like I've always said, antidepressants are a biatch and I wouldn't take them unless you absolutely have to (which unfortunately I do at the moment and perhaps for life)...Sleep is an on and off battle for many of us...we all have different solutions other than drinking ourselves to passing out now thankfully. Anyhow Carol...it does seem like you have a sober grip on things and that is good to see. Great to have you back here.

Hi Carol, nice to see you posting again. Glad that you're feeling better. Good luck in School. Some day I'll be able to take some classes when I retire
Thanks for the experiences on the sp's and ad's as that is my experience also. You have given me a clue and just maybe I've got a thread to my exhaustion. Will check it out. Mahalo again.
Was in one of the 2 that went through this small village..classed as an F2 at 160 miles an hour..
Saw the whole thing...200 feet away from one of the four industrial buildings that were flattened in this part of town.. ...still missing two patio chairs and a cat that learned how to fly..:)

Phil, Sorry you had to go through that! Coming back from Fla. years ago, I REALLY, wanted to stop in Tn. and see Graceland (Home to Elvis). As we approached Memphis, traffic started to slow. there had been horrible storms throughout that part the night before. Hubby only wanted to get home so he was giving me fits about the Graceland thing. We turned on the radio to see if we were on a stretch where an accident had happened up ahead. (By then I got tired of hubby and said 'just drive home'.) The road we were on took us right through the area of the direct hit of a tornado. To say the least......Graceland didn't seem important!!! And since....that incident put things in perspective.....don't put them movie stars up on the pedestals as once I did. People dazed in blankets given out by National guardsmen, home, trees, ect splintered and flattened. I've never seen anything like it before or since. I'm glad you are okay. The cat is probably setting on one of those chairs on a beautiful beach somewhere. lol Check your mail for a postcard. lol Nice to hear from you! Wanda
