Prayers are being sent out tonite for those in Durham, ON that have been affected from the tornado that hit us today.
Several have been sent to the hospital and 1 had died. So please keep our town in your thoughts today. Especially for the families that have had family members who were sent to the hospital, including an 11 year old child.
Please also keep the Police, rescue workers and firefighters in our thoughts as well as they are doing their jobs and working so very hard in the state of emergency that we are facing now. That was the last report I heard on the radio.
Yes, of course, Tina! It is the same front that set off the alarms in the city in Illinois where I work ....yesterday afternoon. The hardest hit was in a smaller town north about 10 mis. A friend of mine has a home there. She and her family are all safe, as was their home. However, other parts of town were not as lucky!!!! And down the road, back in the city, the two hospitals were busy. Scared the hey out of me!!! How is your property? Doesn't Phil live not too far from you? You okay, Phil? Hope so!!!
Yes I'm fine along with my kids, I was at work when it hit and my daughter was heading to work as will. Fortunate enough she stop in to my place of work, my son lives at the other end of town. He was fine too, at one point I wasn't sure what to expect and daughter met up with my son and all I could do was pray for them.
Yes Phil does live in the area, I'm sure he's fine. My heart goes out to those whom were most effected by the tornados yesterday. Especially the 11 year old right now.
I am so sorry to hear about the disaster in your area. It can be such a shock. I certainly will pray for the little boy's family, read your other post and he has passed on?
