I'm so grateful that our Program is a Program of attraction. A women I tried to worked with in little while back, and who had to try it her way, called me yesterday. She told she needed the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Wow, big Step for her and for anyone who can pick up the phone and call one of us and admit they need help.
For a while it was a struggle for me not to call her and say, "Are you ready yet?" But, with the help of our Traditions, Steps and other members, I was able to Step back and give her to God.
Yay Jane!! It is awesome when someone calls us out of nowhere. Can happen at any time, right? And any time is the Right Time!!!
Last couple of weeks at my home group, a young lady I know was there. Her husband was sober for a very long time, and ran the dry club. But now both he and their son are in prison. This young lady is getting sober again, and staying with her sister, and working, doing the steps with her sponsor, hitting meetings, and all that she needs to be doing. She called me after the home group meeting last week, and today we just made plans to go to lunch together on Thursday. I am excited!! It is awesome when you can start to see a lightbulb go on for someone.
This program would not be complete if not for the fulfillment of loving the new poerson who walks in. Awesome God-stuff!!
Love and hugs, Joni

Jane, Nice!!! Yes, it's hard to let go and not push the newcomer and let them initiate the calls(willingness). I had a young man call me last week after his relapse. We had talked at a couple of meetings. We talked this past Tuesday and I gave him my number. He never called. I feel good about it though, I did my part and felt good about my attempt to carry the message. He knows my number and will use it if he gets desperate enough.
