Lately I have been getting this really nasty attitude when I hear someone complain.  I mean, it really just pisses me off.  It doesn't matter who it is, or what it's about....if it's not something worth a complaint, I get so aggravated.  What's wrong with me??  I hate being like this.  I hate having such a negative attitude towards others.  I just feel 100% pissed off at the world.....all day long.  Not to mention my relationship with my boyfriend is a complete mess, and I just want out, but I'm scared to be alone.

I just needed to tell someone.

Hi Crystal,

could be several things. It's always an indication that when you take exception to someone else's behavior that it's something that is an unresolved part of yourself. It's also a good thing to move away from negative people, just move yourself for earshot of their complaint, or say "la la lalalala" so you can't hear them lol.

Aloha Cramcj

For me that would be intolerance...my cup runneth over so to speak but not
with the booze of choice thankfully because then I'd react most negatively
myself.  Intolerance, impatience, unmercifully, closed minded...what else.  For
me that's spiritual relapse and then I remember an elder sponsor advising
me..."If you're not recovering on all 4 levels, mind, body, spirit and emotions
at the same time...you ain't recovering at all."   Scarey.

The opposite is UNCONDITIONAL love...complete and total acceptance of any
other person for exactly who they are.  That lesson never fails me.   You don't
have to like it...you have to do it.

(((((hugs))))) smile

Hello Crystal

Deans post was similar to the first thing that came to my mind.  People who behave the way I did while drinking or can still behave really gets me going. lol  I didn't come up with that all by myself, that has taken 3 sponsors and a room full of people who had something I wanted.

It sounds like you've got a lot going on.  Go ahead and give it to your sponsor and to God/Higher Power.  I know you'll take it back, because I do, but you've got to give it back again and again.  If I can start my day with Gratitude it really helps.  I'm even, sometimes, grateful to those who drive me crazy.  And the best place for me to start is in the Big Book.  pgs. 86-88

Thanks for sharing!

Morning Crystal,

"If we are making a point of bringing up a splinter in another's eye, perhaps we are overooking the Beam sticking out of our own" really not a Bible reader, but that can be found in the Bible, somewhere.

If someone is complaining to me, bitterly, I will simply say inside my own head, God Bless you Dear. and leave it at that.

"There but for the Grace of God, go I"

Hope today you are going to feel better Crystal.

Toni

Hi Again Crystal, did not mean to be so blunt, and was thinking of those negative people, are they people that you have to work with?? I avoid negative people too, their attitudes can be so contagious. But if you have to work with them, have you tried actively thinking of something else when they are ragging about anything.
Like an active Prayer in your head, no one knows we are not listening when in fact, we are not listening to a word of it.

Really hope your mood has picked up and you are out of the Down in the Dumps feeling.

Good to just let it out, isn't it.
Hugs to you, Toni
