It's so freaky...when i stopped drinking and people heard I was going to AA, a lot of friends didnt want to hang out anymore;they thought AA was weird or creepy or a cult..i'm sure a lot of you had heard that from people that you know..i was feeling so lonely, and i asked the universe every day to please send me some new friends....
Yesterday, I got two separate calls from people that I had met only once;a girl in Yucca Valley, and a guy in Long Beach, they dont know each other, but they both know me,from brief meetings,once.They are both in California, and I'm in Canada! They both called me to say happy Mothers day, which blew my mind..the guy from Long Beach and i talked for an hour and a half!
It's funny how the universe, or your higher power, or whatever it is, sometimes listens and sends you what you need. I have heard people talking about it at meetings, how the program works, and how you just have to turn it over to god, and I'm starting to realize that it really works!
Ok, well,i'm out the door to a meeting.

I don't hang around with any one from my past, they all use. And i haven't really clicked with anyone in the program but i do have a couple of friends from the city where i went to treatment that i talk to almost everyday, for that i'm grateful!!
