WELL..JUST FOUND THIS TONIGHT...THE DAYS HAVE BEEN LONG AND LONELY...MY NIGHTS SLEEPLESS..KEEP THINKING THAT I'LL GET UP A NEW DAY WILL BE BETTER.....JUST MOVED TO A NEW AREA AND THERE NO MEETINGS FOR MILES....NO CAR NO FRIENDS IN THE AREA.....THE ONLY THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS ......LET GO AND LET GOD! I FEEL HIM BUT I CAN NOT SEEM TO HEAR HIM !!!!!
Well I most certainly don't claim to be God, but someone has heard you. I welcome you. I've been on the site a little more that two weeks, I also live in a more removed area and I love it here on Miracles In Progress. I feel that a new day without alcohol is ALWAYS better than before. Aloha Beverly and welcome to the group. I understand what you are saying certainly about not hearing HP. I have a suggestion though right out of my journey...Try listening with your eyes for a while too. HP contacts me thru my ears and time but more thru my eyes...kinda like seeing is believing.
Keep coming back...you got family you haven't seen yet but you will feel us for sure.
Know that feeling well, at least the part about living in a new area, and not knowing anyone, did that 5 years ago, and the ONLY thing that I HAD to find were the Meetings. I went online, got a meeting schedule and began with Mapquest to locate these meetings. It really helped.
Or you could call out of the phone book, the local chapter to your area, and call a few places and tell them you need a meeting, but dont have a car, feel pretty sure you might find someone to help you get to a meeting.
With God, we talk and talk, and sometimes ask "Are you listening" like HE is going to yell down, yes, lol.
But HE is there, or none of us would be sitting at our computers, writing to other alcoholics, SOBER, right.

WOW....i'm overwhelmed at the people that are out there listening and i do know that GOD isen't gonna yell down at me. HOWEVER HE ANSWERED MY PRAYERS LAST WEEK. I WENT TO AN A A CAMPOUT LAST WEEK-END ..I ENJOYED A WONERFUL SPEAKER ...THE WISDOM IN THIS FELLOWSHIP KEEPS ME CRAVING MORE ..MORE ..MORE. ITS LIKE THE LIGHTS ARE FINALLY COMING ON, NOT TO MENTION THE DISIRE..I HAVE NEVER FELT LIKE I BELONG HERE ...UNTIL THE PAST FEW MONTHS..TODAY I FEEL COURAGE, I FEEL LIKE I CAN, I DO NOT NEED TO PICK UP THAT DRINK OR DRUG. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOU IN THIS PROGRAM!!!!!!!!
